Virtual Models

To view VBI layers and experience full 360-degree navigation of select Plan of Chicago structures, download and install the free Google Earth software.

Then, users may click on the links below to retrieve specific Google Earth Plan of Chicago files (as well as Google SketchUp files—the staging area where we designed the structures.)

If Google Earth does not automatically open, open the program and click File > Open. Then locate browse to the file on your computer. Click here for instructions on viewing the files in Google Earth.
